Monique . A Level Physics tutor, A Level French tutor, A Level Maths...

Monique tutored me for A-level Maths C1 and C2 AQA, and she was truly amazing. She tutored me up from a U to a as of yet unknown grade, but it is around B/C grade in less than 10 sessions. - one of the best maths tutors I have ever had.

Dalia A. GCSE English Literature tutor, A Level English Literature tu...

From the outset, Dalia has provided insightful teaching, accompanied by impressive detailed notes and annotated diagrams for further revision; whilst expertly guiding my shy daughter to hone in on the relevant topic aspects in answering sample exam questions; pitching her teaching approach appropriately. Dalia is most definitely invested in the subject progression of her students, including lesson preparation, which is specific to the relevant Exam Board. We feel so lucky we chanced upon Dalia's incredibly astute, intelligent and well organised tutoring skills....at the eleventh hour!

Ryan G. GCSE Maths tutor, GCSE Physics tutor, GCSE Computing tutor, A...

Ben enjoyed his first session. He found it a great help to go over some of the areas of maths with you that he wasn't too confident in. Your approach was friendly and patient, which allowed my son to feel completely comfortable throughout the session.

Thanks Sam for helping Toby so much. He has gained a great deal in terms of knowledge and confidence. You have been constructive and flexible with the arrangements even taking into account the time differences and our dodgy internet. We will hope to give you good news come August!

What our amazing tutors have to say

Brimming with up-to-date curriculum knowledge and always willing to help

What sort of things do you cover with your students?

Usually we cover both subject knowledge and exam technique, although that can change depending on each individual student. Then we go through diagrams, and they ask questions, and we go from there.

How is MyTutor different from school?

Lots of students say that the classes are too big in school, or that they don't have time to ask teachers after lessons. In my tutorials, we take time to explore things in a little in a bit more detail.

Studies Psychology at Bristol

What happens in a typical tutorial?

I always look up the board my students are taking so the lessons are really relevant. Then we go through past papers or set texts, whatever the student finds helpful.

How do you explain tricky concepts in your tutorials?

I use the shared whiteboard. We make diagrams together and label them, and often the student prints it off because they know it's right and they completely understand it.

Do you have any success stories?

After tutoring one girl went and told all her friends the new explanation I gave her. And she was so excited about what she wrote in the exam she emailed me immediately afterwards.

Can you help with last-minute revision?

There was one girl who had her exam on Monday. She wanted tuition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beforehand. It was very intense, but she said the exam went well.
