Joseph P. GCSE Physics tutor, A Level Physics tutor, Uni Admissions T...

Joe helped me out immensely with my Physics A level, I couldn't have done it without out him. He is a great all rounder, and was just as excellent going through past paper questions, and covering the theory behind them. I would thoroughly recommend him!

An outstanding tutor, was my first time doing this online tutoring and William not only made this a pleasant easy to understand experience but was clear, and highly educated and went above and beyond to help me. I will be back with Will again for sure as this was a 10/10 experience.

Elisha P. GCSE Maths tutor, A Level Maths tutor

Excellent lesson. Elisha provided work sheets before the session so that my daughter could practice beforehand. She was very thorough, provided feedback so that we knew what stage our daughter was at and then gave her homework to prepare for the next session. Thoroughly recommend Elisha as a tutor. Excellent.

What our amazing tutors have to say

Brimming with up-to-date curriculum knowledge and always willing to help

What sort of things do you cover with your students?

Usually we cover both subject knowledge and exam technique, although that can change depending on each individual student. Then we go through diagrams, and they ask questions, and we go from there.

How is MyTutor different from school?

Lots of students say that the classes are too big in school, or that they don't have time to ask teachers after lessons. In my tutorials, we take time to explore things in a little in a bit more detail.

Answered by Sophie V

Studies Psychology at Bristol

What happens in a typical tutorial?

I always look up the board my students are taking so the lessons are really relevant. Then we go through past papers or set texts, whatever the student finds helpful.

Answered by Alice T

Studies English at Oxford

How do you explain tricky concepts in your tutorials?

I use the shared whiteboard. We make diagrams together and label them, and often the student prints it off because they know it's right and they completely understand it.

Do you have any success stories?

After tutoring one girl went and told all her friends the new explanation I gave her. And she was so excited about what she wrote in the exam she emailed me immediately afterwards.

Answered by Stephanie R

Studies Philosophy at Exeter

Can you help with last-minute revision?

There was one girl who had her exam on Monday. She wanted tuition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beforehand. It was very intense, but she said the exam went well.
