One bag has 4y+2 counters in it and another has 6y-2 counters in it. The bags have the same number of counters in them. Calculate the value of y.

4y+2=6y-2, add 2 to both sides. 4y+4=6y, subtract 4y from both sides. 4=2y, divide both sides by 2 y=2

Factorise the following a) 8x + 6y b) 7xy + 3xzy c)5xyz - 20x^2y^2z

Please find X. 5x + 2 = 9

Solve (x-1)^2-2(x-1)-3=0

Solve algebraically the simultaneous equations: x^2 + y^2 = 25, y - 3x = 13
