How should I prepare for my medical school interview?

It’s not so much about knowing a lot about medicine, it’s more about coming across as a friendly, interesting person who is easy to talk to. Don’t worry about having an instant reply, they understand if you need a few seconds to think of your reply and you can tell them that’s what you’re doing too! It’s good to think about answers to common questions like ‘Why medicine?’, ‘Why this medical school/this city?’, ‘How do you destress?’. I’d also recommend doing a bit of research into important medical organisations and their roles because they could potentially ask about the GMC or NICE, for example. If you have a chance to do a practise interview with someone (a teacher, a parent, family friend etc), then do it! It may seem scary but it’s a good way of knowing what the real one will feel like.
