How would you use lighting and sound effects to enhance this scene (for example Act 1 Scene 1 of Macbeth)

In order to create the foreboding atmosphere of the storm brewing, heightening the tragic aspects of the play, I would use dark lightening only punctuated with bright flashes to signify lighting and the sounds effects of booming rolling thunder.
