Outline concisely the key benefits of the internet of things. (14)

The internet of things integrates the technology in your home into a single system that helps you in everyday life. There are many benefits of this, as many responsibilities are transferred from the individual to computers.  A sleep monitor can wake you up on time for work in the least obtrusive manner, ready to drink coffee that the automated coffee maker has already made for you and bathe in the bath that has just been drawn. Once ready for work, transport is a breeze. Driverless cars are easily ordered and controlled through a smartwatch interface. The car is completely autonomous, allowing you to read emails and watch TV whilst on the go. It is also safe as the car will always know when to stop if there is a dangerous situation ahead.

Day to day efficiency is facilitated by your smartwatch sychronizing with your digital diary, reminding you of meetings and rescheduling if necessary. Whilst at work, the house can maintain itself by regulating the temperature and ensuring that utility bills are kept to a minimum, even if that means switching provider. The house can also order food if stocks are low. There are many more possible automated connections that can make one's life easier.
