Write the opening part of a story about a place that is severely affected by the weather.

I wake up in a daze. I am breathing but just about. My hand is red - I'm bleeding. What happened? My eyes open slowly to realise the train is standing on its side. There are a few lifeless bodies displaced from the seats. "Sarah!" I shout. Silence. "Sarah - where are you!?". Nothing.

I roll from prone to supine and slowly pull my self to stand. My foot crunches on the broken glass beneath it. I walk to the carriage door and try to exit but its jammed. I look up to see a gap where a window used to sit. With a great deal of effort I pull myself up and through the opening. There's a four foot figure lying to the side of the railway track. I jump down on to the ice to check for signs of life. I shake her as I say "Sarah, Sarah, can you hear me!?".
