Cutting down forests destroys the habitats of animals within the forest, which would reduce the number of animals living there along with decreasing the biodiversity. Another possible environmental impact of deforestation would be the increased carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere due to burning the trees, which increases the effect of global warming.
