Describe the main components of the psychodynamic therapy of dream analysis

For this question the main components of the therapy should be described but not evaluated, therefore a conclusion is not needed. For example:

The psychodynamic therapy of dream analysis is based on the idea that dreams are an insight into the unconscious; the inaccessible part of the mind that hides true desires and conflicts. Dream analysis involves the patient creating a dream diary of everything that they have dreamt, and sharing this with their therapist. The therapist then analyses the dreams by first reviewing the manifest content, which is the dreamed information that the patient recalls, before then revealing the latent content, which is the 'true' meaning behind what the dream represents. This is revealed by the therapist in order to help the patient to identify and effectively deal with conflicts.
