How many different types of sentence logic relationships (sytactic relations) are there in Mandarin?

As a frequently tested point in A level papers, the logic relationships of sentences and the according conjunctions are very important in reading Chinese articles. Unlike English language, modern Chinese is replete with logic conjunctions in sentences, and the way to express the logic relations between clauses are more flexible. There are roughly eight different types of logic relations: parallel(并列), continuation (承接), transition (转折), causality (因果), option (选择), hypothesis (假设), comparison (比较), and concession (让步). Students have to be experienced in the conjunctions in these different relations and use them in sentences to deal with the sentence analysis tasks.
