Describe the similarities and differences between the processes of diffusion and osmosis

Similarities: Molecules move from high to low concentrations in both diffusion and osmosis, meaning down a concentration gradient. Neither process requires ATP (energy). Both process occur across a selectively permeable membrane.
Differences: All gases and liquids move by diffusion, however only water moves by osmosis.
