What is a strength of Kantian ethics?

Although Kantian ethics are inflexible and therefore deemed unrealistic by some, one strength is that it upholds everyone's innate dignity and importance. What Kant advocated was for people not to be treated as a means to an end but as a means in themselves. What this means is that people cannot be used for a particular gain, they need to be respected as a person in their own right, therefore disallowing children being born as a saviour child. Where is a saviour's child own importance? Thus, Kantian ethics can be used to advocate human rights and the belief that everyone should be treated equally, no matter what the circumstances.
