Solve the simultaneous equations to find x and y: 3x + 5y = 10 , 5x + 4y = 8

i) Make y the subject of the expression x = ((a-y)/b))^1/2 ii) Simplify fully (2x^2 − 8)/(4x^2 − 8x)

Why can you not divide expressions by common factors?

Solve 2x+y=6, 3x+2y=3 for x and y.
