Factorise fully the following expression: 2a2b + 6ab2
First, find the common terms by treating, 2a2b and 6ab2 as separate objects.
We see common terms of... 2, a, and b
We notice that 2aba = 2a2b and that 2ab3b = 6ab2
Hence we can rewrite the function: 2a2b + 6ab2 = 2ab(a+3b)
