Identify and explain one advantage and one disadvantage of using text (SMS) messages as a method of internal communication.

Internal communication is communication used within the organisation to employees and ranges from emails to face to face discussions. An advantage of using SMS is the convenience of getting a message sent almost instantly to employees. A disadvantage is that SMS is an informal way of communicating. The tone and body language of the employer is not communicated through a text message, so employees may misunderstand or not take the message seriously.
