work out 2/15 x 15/22

When multiplying fractions you multiply the numerators together to get the resulting numerator, and multiply the denominators to get the denominator. In this case you would have (2/15 x 15/22) when written next to each other you would multiply 2 and 15 to get 30, and 15 and 22 to get 330. To multiply big numbers you can use a grid method. This gives you the answer - 30/330, which can be simplified to 3/33 and then to 1/11
