Find the inverse of the function f(x) =2x-7.

Step 1) Replace f(x) with y: y= 2x - 7
Step 2) Switch around the x and y values: x = 2y - 7
Step 3) Solve to find y by itself: x = 2y - 7 x +7 =2y (x+7)/2 = y
Step 4) Replace y with the f(x) notation for the inverse function: f^-1(x) = (x+7)/2😁

Evaluate 25^(3/2) giving your answer as an integer or simplified fraction (2 marks).

[equ1] 3y − 6x = 3 [equ2] y y x 2 − x + 2 2 = 2

Factorise f(x) = 6x^3 -7x^2 -x +2 = 0

Simplify (8x^2 + 36x)/(2x + 9) and explain why it is an even expression.
