rearrange the equation y=7x-3 to make x the subject

The first step would be to have the x's on their own so add three to both sides so the equation goes from y=7x-3 to y+3=7x. The current subject is 7x= we need x= so both sides need to be divided by 7. This leaves us with x= y+3/7
