Listening: 'Ayer, fui de compras. Me gustó una chaqueta, pero no tuvo el dinero suficiente para comprarla. Al fin, compré una falda.' Qué compró la mujer?

What items of clothing does she discuss? (repeat phrase as necessary, slower if the student struggles).
Una chaqueta - a jacketUna falda - a skirt
What did she say about each one?
'Me gustó una chaqueta' : 'gustarse' is the verb 'to like' or to be pleased be. She liked the jacket.'PERO' - there is a but!'no tuvo el dinero suficiente' - 'dinero' is money, 'suficiente' is enough (sounds like 'sufficient' in English). And she says 'no', so she didn't have enough money.'Al fin' - in the end (sounds like finish).'compré una falda' - I bought a skirt.
So the answer is - skirt!
Try and listen to the whole question: it is very easy to pick out one word you might know, such as 'chaqueta', but look out for other words such as 'pero', which may give a clue that the answer is elsewhere. Remember, listen to understand as much as you can before you start writing your answer in a listening exam :)
