Is it true I can't prepare for the interview?

Many people say that the interviews are undertaken in a way that makes them 'impossible to prepare for' but from my personal experience, this isn't the case. The first thing you can do to prepare for the interview is to go through your personal statement and make sure you are comfortable talking about the examples that you wrote about. Why did they interest you? What did they make you think? Have you done any more reading into the subject since writing your personal statement? These are all possible questions that the tutors may begin the interview with. Then, if you are hoping to study a subject that leads of from A level - read ahead in your textbooks, make sure you understand the content and how it is applied. For example, they may give you a graph or show you an experiment that they expect you to work out what it means - if you've thought about how you can apply the knowledge you have from A level then you are one step ahead! Finally, make sure you are confident talking about your subject and working things out out loud. The tutors want to see how you think about things and go about getting to the final answer. So, if you are able to talk through your logic step-by-step, this is a real positive.
