To what extent has China become a superpower?

The term superpower emerged after world war 2, it is said to be a nation which is able to project its influence anywhere in the world, it’s a dominant global force. In recent years there has been an intense discussion about the international role of China and whether or not it can be classified as a superpower. China has had impressive economic growth and it is becoming more increasingly politically dominant. However USA’s military power still dominates China’s so its questionable on whether China is a superpower or still a great power. Therefore this essay will argue that China is not a superpower but a great power.
