How do I use simple integration?

It's a simple process once you know the basics behind it.Let's take X2We have been asked to integrate this. The first thing is to always add 1 on to the power.X3Next thing is to divide by that same power.(X3/3)The final thing is to add on +C, as any regular number (without X) can be part of the term , as when it would be differentiated you will always lose that term! This gives a final answer of....(X3/3) + CThat is how you do simple integration, this method works for any X term, except when not being multiplied or divided by a different term.

At time t = 0, a particle is projected vertically upwards with speed u m s–1 from a point 10 m above the ground. At time T seconds, the particle hits the ground with speed 17.5 m s–1. Find the value of u and T and evaluate the model. (AS mechanics)

A curve has parametric equations x=t(t-1), y=4t/(1-t). The point S on the curve has parameter t=-1. Show that the tangent to the curve at S has equation x+3y+4=0.
