Circle the number that is closest in value to (1.1)/(0.0204) [From selection of 5, 6, 50, 60] [Edit of 2018 Paper 1 Q4]

To simplify the question, the denominator can be rounded to 0.02 (to find an estimate), which comes out to be 1.1/0.02=55, which suggests that the answer is between 50 and 60, and not the other two. Now, an answer of 55 would round to 60, but in this case the denominator is greater than 0.02, so the answer is smaller than the approximation, and so is closer to 50, which is the final answer.
