How does early attachment influence later relationships?

Insecure avoidant types are most likely to be bullied due to their tendency to struggle to make friends and be withdrawn socially. Whereas, insecure resistant types are most likely to be the bullies because of their insecurity within themselves and fear of rejection. Secure individuals typically form stable friendships. In adult romantic relationships, secure individuals are the most likely to have long lasting relationships where they are able to trust their partner. This contrasts insecure resistant individuals who can put too much pressure on their partner due to their fear of being abandoned, and insecure avoidant individuals who often fear intimacy and being close to their partner.
