3kg of meat costs £54, Nina buys 2 kg of the meat. Work out how much Nina pays. (non-calculator)

I used ratios in this context3kg : £54Using this ratio to work out the price of 2kg 2kg: £? To get from the number '3' to '2', I have to divide 3 by 3, then multiply it by 2So, using this same method (as I want the ratio to be equal), I divide 54 by 3, then multiply it by 2 54 divided by 3 is 18 (which I used the bus stop division method to work out)18 multiplied by 2 is 36 so, it would cost Nina £36 for 2kg of meat

How do I expand (2x+5)(9x-2)?

Rationalise the Denominator: 5+√2/(√3)

Solve the following simultaneous equations: 2y = 8x + 6 // x = 3y + 7

Why do the denominators have to be equal when adding fractions, but not when multiplying them?
