This is a simple framework that can you can use to structure your answer to any ethical scenario.
Task for student and tutor:A patient arrives in hospital following an RTA. The patient requires a blood transfusion to save their life, but is refusing one. What do you do?
Go through ABCDENo right or wrong answerAdditional points for this scenario: ask help from members of the MDT, document everything in the patient notesIf you don't know what an abbreviation or word means - ask the interviewer to clarify!
Task for student:A patient diagnosed with HIV has told you that their partner does not know, and they do not wish to tell them. Discuss the ethical issues raised here.
