How much should I write about extra curricular activities in my personal statement?

If you feel like you do not have enough extra curricular activities or special skills to talk about in your personal statement, do not worry! This section should not be the focus and can be as little as a couple of sentences, after you have opened the statement and explained your interest in the subject and the course. The most important thing is that you relate any out of school activities you have done to the subject you are applying to study, for instance explaining how or why it has inspired or motivated you, or what specific skills you gained from the experience that you believe are applicable to the degree. For instance, in my personal statement for geography I talked about how my travels to the USA related to my sense of the natural environment and changing landscapes.
