Assess the statement that globalisation produces as many losers as it does winners 12 marks)

An important part of geography is understanding that processes are uneven for the different 'players' involved. This question is great to show off your knowledge of what globalisation is and how it has affected different groups. Your answer should give at least 1 example of a 'winner' or a 'loser'. Remember to include some facts and figures as well. For example, a negative effect for China is that 70% of their rivers are now polluted. Always link back to the question, so in this scenario, China has increased pollution due to industrialisation which has been driven by international trade etc.Your answer would also benefit from range, so try and think about something economic as well as social, political or environmental. The question suggests there are 'as many losers', so in your conclusion remember to agree or disagree with this and provide evidence on why you have chosen your argument.
