How should I structure a good essay?

To get a clear, concise and well written essay you should use a P.E.E. paragraph format. P.E.E. is point, example, explanation. You should make your point or topic you are going to write about clear eg. 'Steinbeck uses Curly's wife to convey how women were treated in society during this era. You should follow this with an example to support this point, eg. 'steinbeck never refers to curly's wife using her name.' The example given should be then explained. For example; 'By not giving her a name, steinbeck shows that women were treated as objects and property during this period.'
