Given a function f(x)=3x^2+5x-1, find its derivative.

Derivative of 3x^2 is 3*(derivative of x^2) which is 3*(2x)=6x. Derivative of 5x is 5*(Derivative of x) which is 5*1=5 and derivative of (-1) is 0. Hence the answer is derivative of f(x) defined above is 6x+5.
