Using Pythagoras' Theorem --> a 2 + b 2 = c 2 (or c = SqRT(a 2 + b 2 )) where c is the hypotenuse.Substitute a = 3; b = 7. So: 3 2 + 7 2 = c 2 9 + 49 = 58. SqRt(58) = 7.62. Side C = 7.62 cm
