Jess wants to buy 30 mugs for her tea party. She can buy them at Shop A at £3.49 each or at Shop B as a pack of 30 at £58 plus VAT at 20%. She wants to get the cheapest option. Which shop should she buy from?

Shop A-> Total Price = 30 plants x £2.49 =£74.70 Shop B-> VAT = 20% = 0.2 VAT = 0.2 x £58 = £11.60 Total Price = £11.60 + £58 = £69.60 OR

Total price = 1.2 x £58 = £69.60

Therefore Jess should buy from Shop B as it is the cheapest option at £69.60
