Work out the value of: 2+8x3

When it comes to equations that have more than one symbol, you must always follow BODMAS: Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.

The equation we have is 2 + 8 x 3, using BODMAS we can place the brackets as such: 2 + (8 x 3)

Therefore, we must work out what is in the bracket before we can add 2:

8 x 3 = 24

24 + 2 = 26

And so, the value is 26.
