differentiate x^2 + 7x + 4

To differentiate you must times by the power then take one away from the power. Therefore x^2 + 7x + 4 would differentiate to become 2x + 7. The generic rule for differentiation can be written as dy/dx (xn) = nxn-1

How would I differentiate something in the form of (ax+b)^n

Find the stationary points of the curve y (x)= 1/3x^3 - 5/2x^2 + 4x and classify them.

Sketch the curve with the equation y=x^2 +4x+4, labelling the points where it crosses or touches the axes.

Use implicit differentiation to find dy/dx of a curve with equation x^3 + yx^2 = y^2 + 1.
