From your study of the novella 'Of Mice and Men', how do you think George shows loyalty to his companion Lennie?

George shows loyalty to Lennie at many points throughout the novel. For example, in Chapter 1, he tells him to come back to the river if he ever gets into trouble. This shows how much he cares about Lennie and that he is dedicated to protecting him, as he demonstrates throughout the novel.
