Analiza las acciones de dos personajes principales en la novela Como Agua Para Chocolate. En tu opinión, ¿qué revelan de su personalidad y actitudes? (Analyse the actions of the two main characters in the book 'Como Agua Para Chocolate'...'

This question is asking you to choose two main characters in the novel, and pick significant actions which demonstrate to the reader their personality and attitudes. The introduction should give some context regarding the book, as well as outlining the 2 main characters chosen for the essay and a brief overview of their personalities. For the main body of the essay, it is important to focus 1 or 2 paragraphs per character, and in these paragraphs it would be useful to follow a PEAL structure (Point, Evidence, Argument, Explain). For example, when discussing the confrontation between Tita and her mother, it could be argued 'la confrontación parece representar un cambio monumental en la personalidad de Tita ya que ella dijo 'ya me cansé de obedecerla'. Por lo tanto, me inclino a creer que es la primera vez que Tita puede reivindicar sus creyentes'. This example includes a quote to back up the point, which is useful but not necessary, and also leaves room for the student to expand upon the point. The conclusion must sum up the main argument concisely.
