A farmer has 30 boxes of eggs. There are 6 eggs in each box. Write, as a ratio, the number of eggs in two boxes to the total number of eggs. Give your answer in its simplest form.

The question asked for the ratio between the number of eggs in 2 boxes and the total number of eggs. From the question we know that the total number of eggs is the same as the number of eggs in 30 boxes. Hence the ratio will be 2 : 30, and then divide both sides by 2 to get 1 : 15 as the ratio in its simplest terms.
