expand (2x+4)(x+2)

For this question you can use a method called the foil method. The F stands for first therefore you times the 2 variables that are first in each bracket. 2x times x which gives you 2x^2. The O stands for outside, this means that you times the two variables on the outside, in this case 2x and 2 which will give you 4x. I stand for inside therefore you are timesing the two inner variables, so 4 and x which gives you 4x. Finally L stands for last which are the last variables in the each bracket. In this case 4 and 2 which gives you 8. now we have 2x^2+4x+4x+8 we then simplify this and we get 2x^2+8x+8
