Solve 7x+6>1+2x

For this such question, we need to find what values x can be. We need to get all the terms containing x one side of the equation and all the other terms on the other side then isolate x. To do this, we must first -2x from both sides so that we get: 7x+6-2x > 1+2x-2x which becomes: 5x+6 > 1. Then we must -6 from both sides: 5x+6-6 > 1-6 which gives 5x > -5. Now we want to isolate x by dividing both sides by 5 to give: x > -1. Thus our answer is x > -1.
