Factroise x^2+9x-22 inro its simplest form

This is a basic question that many GCSE student struggle with, the key way to answer this question is to develop a strong technique, understand the process and stick to it!What two number when timed together make 22, make a list:22x111x2 - we will use this because when you subtract 2 from 11, you get 9 and that's the number we want to make Lets expand the equation we've been given to fir in our numberswe can replace 9x with 11x-2x remember we want negative 22 and 11 x -2 gives that!!!!x2 +11x- 2x - 22 lets now put that in brackets and split the equation into two x( x+11) -2 (x+11) (x-2) (x+11)
