If 3y-1=2y+4 then what does y=?

3y-1=2y+4To find out what "y=" we need to get all the y values on one side of the equation, and the other numbers on the other side of the equation. We can do this by simply adding or subtracting from BOTH sides. If we add 1 to both sides, and subtract 2y from both sides we get:y=5
