Explain (using a sport of your choice) which physiological aids would be most beneficial to a performer.

The most effective physiological aid for a dancer would be cooling aids, these are legal and allow for reduced core body temperature, decreased sweating, dehydration and early fatigue, decreased pain and swelling of injuries, increased speed of recovery and decreased DOMS. Cooling aids can be used before, during or after the event such as ice vests, ice packs and ice baths etc. Ice baths help to flush the body with nutrient and oxygen rich blood to the fatigued muscles whilst removing waste products to prevent DOMS, this is very important for a dancer as this means that training can be done more frequently and at a higher intensity.
