How do I remember what trig functions differentiate to?

You need to remember some ‘rules’:if it has the ‘co-‘ prefix, the derivative will be negative (e.g. cos x -> -sin x)if it has the ‘-sec’ suffix, the derivative will only include itself (e.g. cosec x -> -cosec^2 x)trig functions are paired sin with cos, sec with tan and cosec with cotthe derivatives of trig functions are the product of two trig functions (pairs, e.g. sec x -> sec x tan x)
