How do I prepare for my interview for med school?

The most useful way to prepare for your interview is to go through your personal statement and pick out 5 main points that you want to get across to your interviewer.

For example:

1. Captain of a team ~ shows leadership quality

2. Work experience that really inspired you~ shows your ability to observe and reflect

3. Ranked highly/Participated in a science competition~ shows passion for science and creativity

4. Member of a team ~ shows teamwork and hobbies outside of school

5. Volunteering in the field of health care ~ shows compassion and initiative

The next step, is to practise, practise and practise. Speak to yourself , your friend, your dog... just practise answering those questions out loud. The more you do it the better you get. Trust me on this one.

As ethics is an incredibly important part of medicine it should be in place for all our decisions, so is lying to a patient acceptable and is misleading better than lying?
