Explain how Genetic modification in terms of food production.

Genetic modification (GM) plants are plants that have been manipulated in a laboratory before being released and bred. There are a number of ways in which these can help food production, these include, pest resistance, increased size, resistance to temperature, including others. GM crops could help greatly with developing countries, as resistance to pesticides and resistance to extreme temperature could reduce costs and increase production, resulting in more food for those in developing nations.
