What is cultural deprivation in Education?

Cultural deprivation within education is when a pupil may lack a resource that would potentially benefit their educational achievement and success. For example; working class pupils from deprived backgrounds tend to lack educational resoruces, such as toys that provide educational stimulation of thinking and reasoning skills. This can impact their intellectual development and cause issues in developing in the education system.
