Describe and explain an an anthropogenic cause of climate change?

Climate change is a long-term shift in the earth's climate. This can be due to various natural causes but has recently been affected by humans. An example of this is the enhanced greenhouse gas effect. Since the industrial revolution, fossil fuels have been used by humans for energy and to develop. However, when burning fossil fuels, quantities of carbon dioxide are released into the atmopshere which are also greenhouse gases. Due to an increase in greenhouse gases, there is an enhanced greenhouse gas effect which warms the earth. The greenhouse gas effect is a natural process, and without it, humans would be unable to live on earth as it would be approximately -18 degrees celcius. This is due to the fact that heat from the sun is trapped in the atmosphere by greenhouse gases like water, methane and carbon dioxide. Solar radiation is absorbed by the earth, long wave radiation is then emitted back by the earths surface, some radiation passes through the atmosphere, however some is reflected back towards the earth and thereby has a warming effect. With more greenhouse gases, the greater the warming effect on the earth.
