Two methods for simultaneous equations: making them equal to each or substitution. If they both have a common term, for example "y", then you can do substitution, otheriwise find a way to make them equal to each other. Solve to find either x or y, and then solve the other one. Always remember to check you answers by plugging in all unknown terms back into all the equations given, not just one.
