What is an indirect command?

An indirect command is a subordinate clause (not the main clause) that uses a command verb, then 'ut' and then a verb in the subjunctive tense (present or imperfect).

For example:

NOS  ROGAT  UT  MANEAMUS

He asked us to stay

See that 'ut' is just translated as 'to' rather than as 'so that'
