How do I evaluate a study in Psychology?

When evaluating a study in psychology, it is important to keep in mind one of the main assessment objectives - A02. A02 refers to discussing the methodological issues of the study and to think about its strengths and weaknesses. I was taught to use the acronym GRAVEY when evaluating a study.G - is for generalisability of the study's results to other groups of people, other countries, other cultures etc.R is for reliability of the study's results -are they trustworthy?A is for applicability of the study's results - do they have practical application?V is for validity of the study's results - was the study well controlled including the control of confounding variables?E is for ethics - were the participants' ethics considered? Y is for why - why do the above points relate to this study?
